Professor David Tanenhaus Receives 2016 Faculty Opportunity Award

Professor David TanenhausJames E. Rogers Professor of History and Law David Tanenhaus is the recipient of a ... Faculty Opportunity Award. The winners of the annual award were published in an announcement released today by the Offices of the President, the Executive Vice President and Provost, and the Vice President for Research and Economic Development. 

A collaborative effort, Professor Tanenhaus and colleagues Rebecca Gill, Department of Political Science, UNLV; and Eric Nystrom, Faculty in Interdisciplinary Humanities and Communication, Arizona State University, earned a $28,544 grant under the Collaborative Interdisciplinary Research Awards – Emerging Areas Seed Grants category for their project titled “Policy Diffusion and the Puzzle of Juvenile Justice Reform.” 

Created in 2012, the Faculty Opportunity Awards support faculty research with potential for continued external funding and offers the financial support needed to complete significant scholarly and creative works. This year, more than 20 awards were bestowed, totaling approximately $600,000.
