Professor Mary LaFrance to Present Award-Winning Paper at Rethink Music Conference

Professor Mary LaFrance was awarded a $5,000 grant from the Intellectual Property and Information Law Sponsored Scholarship Grants (IPIL SSG) Program at the University of Houston Law Center for her article, "From Whether to How: The Challenge of Implementing a Full Public Performance Right in Sound Recordings." The article will be published in the spring 2011 edition of Harvard Law School's Journal of Sports and Entertainment Law. Professor LaFrance was selected to present her article at the Rethink Music Conference being held on April 26-27 in Boston. The conference is co-sponsored by Harvard's Berkman Center for Internet and Society and the BerkleeCollege of Music.

The IPIL SSG Program provides grants for IPIL-related scholarship within the legal academy to tenure or tenure-track professors at AALS member and fee-paid law schools.
