David Snyder

Teacher by day, student by evening – how’s that daily role reversal been working for you?

Excellent. Effective instructors never stop learning, so it feels natural. My students benefit from it as well as I am able to bring what I am learning in my classes to them. The time commitment can be a challenge for my wife and me, but we find a way to make it work.

And you were able to bring the law school to your classroom last spring, right?

Alumni Spotlight: Brenda Weksler '02

Brenda Weksler is an Assistant Federal Public Defender in Las Vegas. Brenda will be honored as the 2018 William S. Boyd School of Law Alumna of the Year on October 18 during the UNLV Alumni Association’s Annual Alumni Awards Ceremony. This award is the highest and most prestigious honor given by the law school’s alumni chapter board. She has served as on the board as president, past president, and secretary and continues on the board in the role of a member-at-large.

 

For the past 15 years, Brenda has worked as an Assistant Federal Public Defender in the trial unit, representing indigent clients. She formerly clerked for the Honorable Kathy Hardcastle at the Eighth Judicial District Court.
