Where do you see yourself in ten years?

In order for me to discuss the future, I must discuss the past.

Ten years ago, I decided to make politics and legislation a priority in my life. This began for me when I volunteered at Planned Parenthood. I canvassed, taught other teens how to drive effective campaigns, and lobbied legislators in DC and Carson City. This grass roots volunteering gave me a perspective from the bottom up.

In college, I interned in Washington D.C. for Congresswoman Dina Titus where I shadowed the Congresswoman, spoke with constituents, and attended congressional hearings. This federal experience gave me a perspective of how things operate at the highest level of politics.

Just prior to law school, I interned at the Nevada Legislature during the 2015 and 2017 sessions. In 2015, I interned for then Senator Richard Segerblom. In 2017, I interned for then NV Senate Majority Leader, Aaron Ford. It was these experiences that furthered my political aspirations. It was my Nevada State political experiences that led me to my future political goals.

Ten years from now, I see myself on a path toward running for governor of Nevada.

My path, post Nevada Bar passage, is beginning at the law firm of Eglet Adams where I recently became an Associate Attorney. Eglet Adams is not shy to the political world. It has made it a priority to draft and lobby for Nevada legislation that will protect the rights of their consumer clients. I will be a part of this process while at the firm. The first bill I will lobby modifies sex abuse laws.

Over the next few years, I will determine how best to effectuate my political goals considering the political atmosphere at the time.
