What drew you to litigation and what do you like most about your work there?
The exciting fast pace and varied legal issues drew me to business litigation. I can go from contract law to SEC issues all in the same day. I love how it keeps me on my toes and learning something new each day.
As an attorney, how do you affect or make changes in the community?
I really see making a difference as a responsibility, so I make sure it’s a part of my week. I’m a member of the Racial Justice Committee for the Las Vegas National Bar Association, where my focus right now is law enforcement training and supervision policy reform. I know improving how officers police the community will make meaningful change, so I am honored to work on this project.
Do you have a motto and what is it?
Right now, it’s that “the best lessons come from the mistakes we make.” As a new attorney, I have so much to learn and implement that mistakes are inevitable. However, mistakes also give me the opportunity to see issues and assignments from a new perspective, and adopt different strategies and tactics from that stumble.
