SOA Competitions 2024-2025
Alexandra Archambeau and Alisha Meschkow competed at the Amicus Cup Trial Competition at Boyd Law. Competing against some of the nation’s top trial advocacy programs, Alexandra and Alisha secured a semifinalist spot. They also earned the “Most Responsive” Award for their sharp thinking during trial.
Haeden Suter and Erik Janke represented Boyd Law at the Moot Court Competition in Law and Religion at Touro Law Center in Central Islip, NY. Haeden was named Best Oralist of the competition.
Courtney Fulmer, Nicholas Coombs, Zach Sweetin, and Lamar Thornton competed in the Queens District Attorney Trial Competition in NYC.
Michael Cruz, Jordyn Griffin, Hannah Gagow, and Hanna King competed in the inaugural Charleston Court-Martial Challenge in Charleston, South Carolina. The team participated in four preliminary trials and ultimately secured an impressive 5th place finish.
Royce Pereira and Catelyn Kaufman represented Boyd Law at the Nell Hennessy Employee Benefits Moot Court Competition, where they advanced to the qualifiers round.
Marcel Wilken-Brown, Alisha Meschkow, Joseph Yezbak, and Geovanna Sanchez competed in the Student Trial Advocacy Competition (STAC) Regional Tournament in San Francisco, hosted by the American Association for Justice. After winning three preliminary rounds and a semi-final round, they secured a spot in the final round.
Tia Zghaib and Sophia Stojanoff represented Boyd Law at the Robert F. Wagner National Labor and Employment Moot Court Competition in New York City.
Adam Marchant and Nicholas Sheely competed at the UCLA Cybercrimes Moot Court Competition.
Hailey Hamilton and Shaira Young competed at the Mardi Gras Moot Court Invitational in New Orleans and made it to the third round. They even had the incredible opportunity to argue in the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals En Banc Courtroom.
Tori Callier and Drianna Dimatulac secured 2nd Place in the 2025 New York University National Immigration Moot Court Competition. Tori Callier also earned the award for Second Best Oral Advocate overall. Cadence Ciesielski and Sondra Brower also competed and advanced to day two of the competition.
Michael Cruz, Jordyn Griffin, Hannah Gagow, and Hanna King placed third in the Puerto Rico Trial Advocacy Competition.
Courtney Fulmer, Nicholas Coombs, Zach Sweetin, and Lamar Thornton competed at the San Diego Defense Lawyers Mock Trial Competition. The team won their rounds and ultimately finished in an impressive 5th place overall.
Alexandra Archambeau, Geovanna Sanchez, Marcel Wilken-Brown, and Joe Yezbak competed in the Peter James Johnson National Civil Rights Mock Trial Competition in New York.
Althea Gevero and Alisha Meschkow represented Boyd Law at the Emory Civil Rights and Liberties Moot Court Competition in Atlanta. They advanced to the quarterfinals in a large field in one of the most prestigious and competitive competitions in the country.
