Society of Advocates Team Takes Second in Regional Competition

Part-time, third-year students Thomas Skinner and Steven Devney and second-year, full-time student Jonathan Winn took second place in two categories at the 61st Annual New York City Bar National Moot Court Competition in November.

The team advanced to the national competition, held Jan. 31 to Feb. 3 in New York City. Although they gave their best effort, they were unable to progress beyond the first two rounds.

The Society of Advocates team earned second place overall for the regional competition, as well as second place for brief writing.

One hundred and fifty teams competed across the country in the regionals, with 28 teams advancing to the nationals in New York City.
