Study Ranks Boyd 9th in Scholarly Productivity
In the 2010 Roger Williams University School of Law study, the Boyd School of Law is ranked 9th in per capita productivity of articles in top journals. Boyd tied with Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent College of Law.
The study, controlled for faculty size, measured the substantial articles written by law faculty members and published since 1993 in the most influential and frequently cited law reviews in the United States. RWU only looked at the 20 leading law journals and the general law reviews published by the 54 schools receiving the highest peer assessment scores in the 2008 U.S. News Ranking.
Boyd ranked 6th in 2009 and 9th in 2008.
Boyd faculty members have written over 100 books, over 110 chapters in other books, and approximately 600 articles published in national and international law journals. These books, chapters, and articles have been cited by the United States Supreme Court, many other federal and state courts, administrative agencies, legislators, and numerous lawyers and professors.
