Through the Library's liaison program, faculty members are paired with lawyer-librarians who work with faculty to support scholarship and teaching activities. Library faculty liaisons are available to undertake research projects, locate materials, prepare research guides and bibliographies, and provide updates on new scholarship and news items in particular areas of interest.

Liaisons may also work with faculty research assistants to assist in developing research strategies and locating sources, and to provide training in particular types of research or specific resources. Questions about the liaison program should be directed to Jeanne Price (jeanne.price@unlv.edu; 702-895-2404).

Liaisons are available to assist faculty in integrating Library resources into course administration systems, whether through the creation of virtual libraries of relevant materials in online course sites, or through the development of research guides in particular subjects.

Faculty should also feel free to call upon librarians to conduct subject- or jurisdiction-specific research instruction in classroom settings, and/or to develop class handouts on research sources, bibliographies, finding aids, or other reference materials for particular classes.

Liaisons are available to assist faculty in determining how to best distribute course materials and in obtaining the necessary permissions.

The library maintains two blogs that highlight newly acquired items, one for books and the other for documentary films.

The Library welcomes suggestions of print and electronic resources that would be worthwhile additions to the collections.

The Library maintains the Scholarly Commons @ UNLV Law, an online archive of faculty scholarship, conference and symposia proceedings, law journal issues, and other law school publications. Faculty are invited to submit working papers and other publications for inclusion in the online archive. Please contact Youngwoo Ban (youngwoo.ban@unlv.edu; 702-895-5819) for more information about the Scholarly Commons.

The Library also collects print publications and flyers, newsletters, brochures, and other law school materials for the law school archives. Please send copies of materials to be included in the archives to Jeanne Price (jeanne.price@unlv.edu; 702-895-2404).

Liaisons can assist faculty in submitting working papers to the Social Science Research Network and bepress repositories.

Materials circulate to faculty members for semester-long periods and are automatically renewed unless another faculty member or student has requested a particular item. The Library will retrieve items requested by faculty from other campus libraries. Those materials also circulate for semester-long periods, and will also be automatically renewed unless requested by another patron. Materials not available on campus will be purchased or obtained through interlibrary loan. Please direct requests to liaisons.

Faculty members who wish to authorize research assistants to check out materials on their behalf should complete and forward to their liaison a proxy form.

Print copies of newsletters, journals, magazines, and other periodicals are routed to faculty members upon request. Liaisons can furnish to faculty members a list of all publications that may be routed or a list of subject-specific publications.

Faculty members may place any type of material (electronic or otherwise) on reserve, with check-out periods specified by faculty members. Materials placed on reserve for particular classes will be returned to the faculty member at the end of the semester. Please contact your liaison to place items on reserve, or complete the reserve request form and email it to Agnes Semling (agnes.semling@unlv.edu; 702-895-2400) or Brett Miller (brett.miller@unlv.edu; 702-895-2400).

At the end of each semester, the Library solicits from faculty members copies of exams to include in the past exam collection made available to students on e-reserves.

The Library's conference room is available to faculty for seminars, committee meetings, and other events. Room 323 seats 10 people and is equipped with a laptop, projector and screen. To reserve the Library conference room, please contact Agnes Semling (agnes.semling@unlv.edu; 702-895-2400) or Brett Miller (brett.miller@unlv.edu; 702-895-2400) or use the online room reservation system.

The exhibit case on the ground floor of the law school highlights faculty writings. Please send copies of article reprints, books, and other publications for inclusion in the display to Jeanne Price (jeanne.price@unlv.edu; 702-895-2404).

The Library welcomes donations of books, journals, archival materials, and ephemera from faculty members.
