The Saltman Center for Conflict Resolution at the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV continues to build on its global reputation for impactful writing and research in the multidimensional realm of dispute resolution.

Back in January 2020, dispute resolution practitioners and educators from around the country made their way to Las Vegas and the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV for a series of training seminars presented by the Federal Mediation & Conciliation Service.

Much like her fellow students, Jamie Clark was itching to get some real-world, I’m-almost-a-lawyer experience during her second year at the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV. Just one problem: Not enough hours in her day.

When Jae Barrick decided to embark on a midlife career change—a change that would begin with her enrollment at the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV—there wasn’t much doubt that she would gravitate toward the world of alternative dispute resolution (ADR). After all, it was something that was ingrained in her while growing up in the mountains of West Virginia.
