UNLV Takes Law Students to Asia to Study Gaming Law in Singapore, Macau and Japan

This May, Boyd Law took students to Singapore, Macau and Japan to study gaming law in three different international jurisdictions with the Comparative Gaming Law: Asia Study Tour course offered this summer. Open to visiting law students, UNLV JD and LLM in Gaming Law and Regulation students, this 2 unit elective study trip offers a unique and intensive experience exploring the gaming industry in Macau, Singapore and Japan

Led by Dean Grinvald and Professor Jennifer Roberts, the class was designed with a series of class visits to international gaming organizations and class lectures. Some of the course highlights included meetings with gaming operators, regulators, a gaming law firm and a technology provider.

Some of the meetings and site visits included Marina Bay Sands, Resorts World Sentosa, the Singapore Regulatory Authority, Wynn Palace (pictured below), Sands Macau, a gaming law firm based in Macau, MGM Japan, the Japan Casino Regulatory Commission, and Sega Sammy.

This class will be offered again in May 2025.
