Program Description:
Recent weeks have seen a steady stream of arrests from the protests occurring in the wake of the police killing of George Floyd. This CLE will cover both the basics of defending clients charged with misdemeanors in the Municipal and Justice Courts of Las Vegas as well as specific issues important to defending protesters, including:
• First Amendment issues
• Police Discovery: What to get and how to get it
• Differing client goals for political protesters
