Bio:

Professor Kindred came to the Boyd School of Law from the College of William and Mary, Marshall-Wythe School of Law, where she had taught since 1989. She teaches in the areas of contracts, remedies, family law, education law, children’s law, and law and society. Her research interests also include constitutional law and conflict of laws. Professor Kindred obtained her J.D. in 1980 from Columbia University School of Law and served as submissions editor of the Columbia Human Rights Law Review. Following her graduation, she served on the corporate legal staff for General Electric Company in Connecticut and as assistant to the general counsel at Old Dominion University. Professor Kindred has published extensively in the areas of family law, children’s rights, and education law.
