From Dean Dan - March 6, 2020
UNLV Boyd Law is pleased to host its inaugural alumni U.S. Supreme Court Swearing-In ceremony in Washington D. C., and we invite you to join us June 1-2. The Supreme Court allows only 30 of our graduates to participate, and you must be a member of your State Bar for at least three years. Please see the detailed instructions and information here. The deadline to submit all information to the Boyd School of Law is Monday, March 23. Thank you to Nakia Jackson-Hale for making this event happen.
I want to thank the student leaders at the Society of Advocates, and in particular Arthur Burns, Ryan McConnell, and Christian Ogata, for bringing the fifth annual Schreck Gaming Law Moot Court Competition to UNLV Boyd Law this week. This is a major competition bringing 28 law schools from around the country to Boyd, and is the only competition of its kind. I want to thank all of the judges taking part, and particularly the final round judges: Judge Phil Pro, Judge Tierra Jones, and Judge Cristina Silva. I am grateful to our sponsors, Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck and the Gaming Law Section of the Nevada State Bar for their support.
Best,
Dan
