The Saltman Center for Conflict Resolution hosted an evening reception for attendees of the 25th Annual American Bar Association Dispute Resolution Spring Conference in Las Vegas. The reception was held on May 10, 2023, at the Thomas & Mack Redd Room. The American Bar Association’s Dispute Resolution Section will bring its annual spring conference to Las Vegas from May 10-13.

The theme for the 2023 event, which is the largest ADR conference in the world, is “Leading Change Through ADR: Strategies for Navigating our World Today.”

Throughout the four-day conference, attendees will learn about the latest dispute resolution techniques and trends, share ideas with experts and peers, and network with fellow ADR professionals and leaders.

Back in January 2020, dispute resolution practitioners and educators from around the country made their way to Las Vegas and the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV for a series of training seminars presented by the Federal Mediation & Conciliation Service.

The first West Coast Dispute Resolution Conversation was held in Las Vegas on December 7 & 8, 2018 at UNLV’s William S. Boyd School of Law and the Saltman Center for Conflict Resolution. The inspiration for the Conversation grew out of the 2018 American Bar Association (ABA) Dispute Resolution Section Annual Conference and a sense that many in our community were hungry for an opportunity to engage one another, in an informal setting, about the changing nature of dispute resolution generally and in law schools specifically. The Saltman Center hosts the inaugural West Coast Dispute Resolution Conversation on December 7-8, bringing together esteemed academics from around the region who specialize in the field. The discussion will primarily focus on ADR-related challenges present in both academia and the broader legal community, and how those challenges can be overcome.

The signing of the Colombian Peace Agreement in 2016 put an end to a civil war that lasted for half a century.
