CLE-The Prosecution Symposium

National trends in prosecution have sparked debate about the role of the prosecutor in setting charging priorities, reducing incarceration, increasing diversion, removing racial disparities, and reforming litigation techniques. Please join us for a half-day symposium to discuss these issues and more with local and national stakeholders and experts.

King County’s Prosecuting Attorney Dan Satterberg will be discussing the history and evolution of the prosecutorial reform movement from his experience as Seattle’s lead prosecutor since 2007. 

The session will be moderated by the Honorable Anne Traum - United States District Court Judge for the District of Nevada

Screening of Racially Charged: America’s Misdemeanor Problem, a short documentary that addresses problems in the policing and prosecution of low level crimes, followed by a panel discussion of local stakeholders, including:
