The William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV and the Indian Nations Gaming and Governance Program presents Jackpot: The Possibilities of Indian Gaming Revenue a one day symposium on permissible and creative uses of Indian Gaming on March 1. Topics will include economic development, government operations, philanthropy, and cultural continuity. Dean of the University of Iowa College of Law, Kevin Washburn, will be the keynote speaker. Program is free, but registration is required. 

In-person attendees can receive 7 Nevada MCLE Credits!

Black Legal Futurism is related to Afrofuturism, which can be defined as a cultural aesthetic and philosophy aimed at imagining the future through the lens of people from the African diaspora. We use the term Black Legal Futurism rather than Afrofuturism because we want participants to make concrete, “outside the box” political, economic, and legal policy proposals. Taking a Black Legal Futurist view will have three important implications.
