Immigration Clinic Logo

“Serving as a student attorney in the immigration clinic has been the highlight of my law school experience. The clinic provided me with practical, hands-on opportunities that I would not have gained through a traditional classroom setting, including meeting with clients, arguing before the immigration court and federal district court, and developing a deeper understanding of immigration law and its history in the United States.”

— Drianna Dimatulac, BSL ’26

Our mission

The UNLV Immigration Clinic marries the Boyd School of Law's commitment to community service with our students' desire to learn by doing. We offer law students real world experience practicing immigration law, we provide free legal services to members of the campus community, and we defend adults in detention and unaccompanied children against deportation.

We can help with …

  • Unaccompanied children in deportation proceedings.
  • Detained adults in deportation proceedings.
  • UNLV students and certain other members of the UNLV campus community.

All of our services are free. We never charge a fee.
Our capacity is limited and we cannot guarantee to be able to assist everyone

The Hands

Painted hands in multiple colors on rows of canvas, hanging on a wall.

Whenever one of our child clients wins the right to stay safely in the United States, we preserve their handprint as a reminder about what is at stake in immigration cases, and what legal advocacy can accomplish.
