AALS Alternative Dispute Resolution Section 13th Annual Works-in-Progress Conference
The UNLV Boyd School of Law is delighted to host the 13th Annual AALS ADR Section Works-in-Progress Conference in Las Vegas, NV on October 4 & 5, 2019.
The Works-in-Progress Conference brings together scholars and researchers in the dispute resolution field from around the country and the world. Conference participants share their work and give and receive feedback in a rigorous and collegial atmosphere. The Works-in-Progress Conference has a long tradition of welcoming and valuing research and writing projects at all stages, from those that are early in development to papers accepted for publication but still in the editing phase. The objective is to create a supportive environment in which participants can learn from one another and improve.

Thursday, October 3
• 5:30 PM: Welcome reception and dinner
Friday, October 4
• 7:30–8:00 am: Breakfast and registration
• 8:00–8:15 am: Welcome from UNLV and Saltman Center Hosts
• 8:30–noon: Morning Presentations (with a break)
• Noon: Lunch and break-out activity
• 1:30–5:30 pm: Afternoon Presentations (with a break)
• 6:00 pm: Special dinner
Saturday, October 5
• 8:00–8:30 am: Breakfast
• 8:30 am–12:30 pm: Presentations/Workshops (with a break)
• 12:30 pm: Lunch
• Afternoon: Organized Activity—To Be Announced
The UNLV Boyd School of Law is home to the Saltman Center for Conflict Resolution, which is consistently ranked among the top ADR programs in the country. Our prominent faculty who work in the field of dispute resolution include Jean Sternlight, Lydia Nussbaum, Benjamin Edwards, Eve Hanan, Thomas Main, Jeffrey Stempel, and Marketa Trimble.
AALS ADR Section
The ADR Section was recently honored as the “Section of the Year” by the AALS because of the Section’s commitment to fostering outstanding scholarship and teaching.
